The filing period for candidates to appear on the 2016 ballot in Arkansas began on Monday and will continue through next Monday, November 9th. One further note: Since I had been unable to find any announcement by the President Pro Tempore of the Arkansas State Senate, Sen. Jonathan Dismang (SD #28), indicating his intent to run for re-election, I reached out to him. Sen. Dismang confirmed to me directly that he is indeed running in 2016 and expects to file his candidacy by the end of the week.
